關於本活動

Dr. Lo Ka-yee, Assistant Dean (Knowledge Exchange) of the Faculty of Education at the University of Hong Kong, will be hosting the first "Dynamic Language" (mLang) Teacher Workshop of the academic year, co-organized by Dynamic Chinese Solutions Limited. We cordially invite your staff to participate; the workshop is free of charge.

Currently, over 400 primary and secondary schools enroll non-Chinese speaking students, posing varying degrees of difficulties for Chinese language teachers, who find themselves overwhelmed and in dire need of professional support in teaching Chinese as a second language. Furthermore, the ongoing pandemic has led to schools constantly switching to online learning. Many primary and secondary schools have found their efforts in implementing e-learning platforms ineffective because the content doesn't align with their curriculum, thus increasing the burden on both teachers and students.

The mLang project is an innovative e-technology-assisted second language learning platform. Since 2014, it has supported teachers in various schools to improve students' second language learning with remarkable results. After years of experience, it has matured significantly. With the assistance of Dongzhongwen Solutions Co., Ltd., which provides the latest mLang web application and technical support, its functionality has been enhanced, making it more flexible and convenient to use. It can complement school-based curricula and teaching needs, while also effectively addressing students' learning differences, greatly improving the effectiveness of second language teaching. Even during the suspension of face-to-face classes last year, students' learning attitudes and behaviors still showed improvement.

This workshop will invite experienced teachers to share their teaching insights and discuss how to effectively utilize the mLang learning platform in Chinese as a Second Language (CSL) classrooms to help students learn the language well and cultivate a positive and independent learning attitude and ability. Participating teachers will receive a personal mLang account and experience firsthand how to design and grade student assignments using mLang. Primary and secondary school CSL colleagues are welcome to participate and learn from each other. Workshop details are as follows:
